The Klancnik and Friends Band have recorded three new songs that will be featured on Walter Ostanek's two upcoming CD releases. Polka 76, which was written by Verne Meisner, and I'm Nobody's Baby, originally recorded by Eddie Rodick, will appear on Polka Celebration. This CD is a joint effort by Grammy winners Joey Miskulin and Walter Ostanek. It should be noted that this is the first time Brian O'Boyle and Eric Stehle have recorded with Joey. Green Gables, which was written by Al Morouse, appears on Walter's other new CD, Carefree Polkas and Waltzes. This selection also features Brian O'Boyle and Joey Miskulin on accordion, Eric Stehle on sax, Jerry Zagar on bass, and Ed Klancnik on drums and banjo. Both of these CDs are set to be released in the Fall of 2011. The State of Michigan and the Michigan State University Museum presented the Klancnik family with a "Michigan Heritage Award" in honor of Gaylord Klancnik. The entire family was there to receive the Award and Brian O'Boyle and Ed Klancnik played three songs during the ceremony. A display will be available for viewing in the Michigan State University Museum until the Spring of 2012.

On Sunday, November 27, 2011 the KNF Band will be making our 1st appearance at S.N.P.J. Lodge 106 in Imperial, Pennsylvania. We would like to thank the members of Lodge 106 and Kevin Richards for making this date possible. KNF will be alternating from 1-7pm with George Suhon and Silver Sky.
